Hagenston Gem not enough in 1-0 setback at St Johns

Cody Hagenston allowed just one run on Monday at Gibbs Field, but Bishop Ireton couldn’t get the offense going in a 1-0 defeat to St John’s Cadets.  Ireton managed only two hits in the game.

Hagenston was a workhorse on the hill for the Cardinals. Hagenston allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks while striking out three over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Thomas got the win in relief for St John’s, pitching 1 1/3 innings and allowed no runs.  Both ballclubs stand 3-2 in WCAC play heading into the Easter vacation.

Cardinals head to Charleston, SC, for the HITT spring tournament before returning to WCAC action on April 6th at Gonzaga.
