Louis Khouri, a senior at Bishop Ireton High School, has made his college decision. He will attend nationally-ranked Catholic University in the fall.
The 6’1 combo guard was the first player to join Coach Neil Berkman in 2010. After transferring from the current WCAC champion, Bishop O’Connell, Louie had an accomplished career in and out of the classroom. His 16 against against Gonzaga in the WCAC quarterfinal upset helped earn him Honorable Mention all -WCAC.
Louie is second on the team in assists, minutes played and the third leading rebounder. He was the Alexandria Sportman of the month, February 2013. Earning an impressive 4.19 GPA and 2100 SAT score, Louis had a plethora of collegiate options.
“Louie is a precocious young man that ‘gets it’. He is the epitome of our school motto: be who you are and be that well. Louie Khouri embodies every quality I would want in my own son. We were very lucky to have him and we wish him well.” said Berkman of the senior captain. Khouri plans to study electrical engineering at Catholic as well as being a member of the basketball team.
